In 2000, the “Diaco’s Discount Nursery” started as 4 day pop-up plant market in Heatherton. Since then, the Diaco family has witnessed a lot of change in the Garden Nursery Industry. We saw many smaller suppliers/retailers close down due to pricing pressures and a shifting demand landscape driven by larger retail formats coming to the market. Committed to offering customers quality products with excellent customer service, we have grown to 3 locations in the same time that many decided to leave.

In the last fifteen years in the garden nursery industry, Diaco’s has grown from a market stall into three nurseries with a broad range of plants and gardening equipment. 

We know that we need to think outside the box and challenge the way we see our business if we are going to be around for another 10 years. Innovation and marketing is at the heart of that with a vision to bring back the local garden nursery.

There are a lot of cafe and garden landscape retailers out there, but that’s not us. Diaco’s point of difference is and will continue to be our passion for gardening, and our dedication to providing a place where you can come and get your hands dirty and hear from people that know their stuff.
